Feels like a more stable hex in the hand. Handles torque nicely. Holds angles with a gentle fade (Nivå på anmelder: Middels)
The Jay is the disc that flies the way people say the Mako3 does. In my experience the Mako3 feels more like a putter and flies signifantly less stable than advertised. You know the meme "It holds any angle you put it on"? Well this is the only disc I would ever say that about. (Nivå på anmelder: Middels)
Flies great as advertised, but something about the grip is off for me and results in late releases more often than other similar midranges in my testing. (Buzzz, Emac Truth, Remix Torpedo, M4) (Nivå på anmelder: Nybegynner)
It's a buzzz. I mean it's not actually a buzzz, but it's a buzzz. The big difference between the molds is the jay has a convex rim. Saw someone refer to this disc as the coyoteX3. Dunno about all that but the bottom plate, and specifically the rim is similar. Definitely has the flat top. Torque resistant, straight flight, gentle but reliable fade. The jay is a solid midrange. Innova has another absolute winner with the Jay! From the first throw, I got consistent release points and predictable flight that was true to the numbers. This disc was an instant bag for me as it fills that "laser straight tunnel shot" slot perfectly. For longer straight throws I use a Kastaplast K1 Lots, but many of the technical shots on my local course require less power than the Lots needs to fly perfectly straight. A Fission Crave filled the slower slot for a while but, as I've gained power, it's become too flippy and works better for turnovers. I tried to disc down to a Latitude Compass in both retro and gold plastic, but I just couldn't get consistent release and nose angle with it. The Jay flies very similar to the Compass, but is torque resistant, less flippy, and more consistent. I think it might be a little glidier as well. As others have stated, it will ride an anhyzer or hyzer beautifully, and it also forehands like a champ. This is quickly becoming one of my "cold dead hands" discs that will never leave my bag.
